Before the official version, the platform had been testing the function since 2019, but at the time it was called "Scenes", after some tests and studies (and between us, the advancement of the Chinese application), the social network replaced it with the update and since then the number of users here in Brazil has only grown.
And this is clear when we access the feed, several short videos of dubbing and challenges (the famous challenges) are posted daily. It is also a great investment for those who want to bring valuable content to their business audience.
How to record and publish a Reel?
We already know in theory that this tool is super interesting, right? But, there's nothing better than learning in practice how to create a reel and publish it on your profile.
With that in mind, I've put together a step-by-step guide (very visual!) for those who still don't know where to start:
1. Have Instagram installed on your phone
You must have the social network app installed on your cell phone, which can be found in the app stores (both on iOS and Android), as it is not yet possible to publish using the desktop version.
2. Open the camera and select “Reels Video”
The process is very similar to creating a Story. Simply access your own profile, click on “+” in the top right corner of the screen and select this option to start recording.
You can record a reel using a single take or you can make several cuts in sequence, to edit later. Another cool part is that you can also insert videos from the gallery.
