The audience that is intensively harassed by the marketers of these parties cannot possibly build a recognizable unique brand experience based on their photography style. As a result, these images are degraded to nothing more than attractive accompaniments to the message. And that is also what you have stock material for, although then you no longer have any uniqueness at all. Of all the investments by the brand manager, the share of photography is a considerable one. It is a great pity that the effectiveness is so disappointing.

Illustrations
Illustrations can be an alternative to photography. Vodafone uses both photography and illustrations; KPN and UPC do not use illustrations at all. However, because Vodafone does not use them in campaigns, they have little association with the Vodafone brand. Zilveren Kruis Achmea – a bit of a digression – is an example of a company that does use illustrations integrally.

Illustrations can also be used to depict products macedonia phone data and services, or to visualise mutual differences . It also makes the image more attractive when it takes the place of text. Here too, integral and uniform use is important for brand recognition. Of the three, KPN still succeeds most in recognisability, but applies it little online. Vodafone wants to, but cannot make a choice in the form, see the images below.

Iconography
In the field of iconography, anarchy is the order of the day, as I experience daily in my projects; truly unbridled chaos of well-intentioned initiatives. In four points I will explain what is not going well. Please note that these points do not necessarily apply to KPN, UPC and Vodafone; I am taking a broader view of the phenomenon here.
