In this chapter, we will explain the email newsletter titles introduced in the sample collection above by dividing them into three types. Remember the types and increase the variety of subject lines you can use.


Email Newsletter Title Format (1) Empathy + Theme
"Empathy + Theme" is a title style that invites the reader to empathize by clearly stating the problem the reader is having. By including a theme that may be the answer to the problem in the latter half of the title, it piques the reader's curiosity.

The advantage of sending an email newsletter with a "Resonance + Theme" title is that by speaking to the reader's concerns, it is more likely to be opened by readers who are not yet clear about their issues.

The disadvantage is that if you are unable to express your concerns in words, your readers will not want to open your newsletter. If you do not understand the concerns or issues of the people you are sending the newsletter to, your newsletter title will not resonate with them.
