Together we went in search of the essence. We listed all the functionalities and let the employees vote. They voted on the functionality that they found most important, without being allowed to vote on their own input. A kind of pool of functionalities, from which a selection eventually emerged that we incorporated into the intranet.

ring his introduction, founder Mark Zuckerberg said that more than 50% of the content shared on Facebook now consists of photos and visual content. This is not shocking news in itself. Many brands have already found that posts with photography – that connect with the target group – generate the most engagement. The new design of the news feed is based on this fact and is much more visually set up than its predecessor. Broadly speaking, there are three important changes:
Postings are much more visual , richer (in terms of information and context) and will therefore generate more interaction.
Users can choose between different filters (including friends, close friends, photos, brand pages, games and music).
Facebook will provide a consistent user experience across all platforms : desktop, tablet and mobile.

The previously introduced new search switzerland phone data functionality – Graph Search – is also integrated into the new design. During his introduction, Zuckerberg also mentioned that currently 30% of posts in users’ newsfeeds come from Facebook brand pages, rather than friends. Similar research from Socialbakers also showed that the average number of posts from fan pages has grown from 12 per month in January 2012, to a whopping 36 per month in September 2012!
Facebook users are also increasingly critical of this overload of postings in their news feed and increasingly feel that their friends are being snowed under. Facebook has listened carefully to this criticism and has incorporated this – among other things through the filter functionality – into the renewed news feed. As a result, Facebook is increasingly getting.
