To create a QR code for your storage organization, you can use QRCodeChimp . Choose a QR solution such as a text QR code, Google (Sheets or Doc), images, or URL.
For example, if you want to use Google Sheets to track materials stored in a box, you can list all the items in your Google Sheets and generate a QR code. Alternatively, you can create a text QR code with the items listed in plain text if you don't want to update the list of items and only need the QR code once.
The key advantage of using a text QR code is that it doesn't require an internet connection to access the list. However, if your list is very long or you want to update it as you add or remove any item from the repository, a text QR code may not be ideal.
To generate a storage organization using a QR code URL, follow these steps. First, create a Google Sheet student database with details of the material stored in a particular box. Different sheets can be maintained for each box.
Step 1: Log in to your QRCodeChimp account and select QR Code URL Solution .
Note: If you want to create multiple QR codes at once, you can choose the “bulk upload” option. The “bulk upload” option is only available for PRO users and above plan .
Step 2: Enter the URL of your Google Sheet in the Website or Page URL field in the Basic Information column.
Step 3 (Optional): You can create a dynamic QR code by clicking the "create dynamic" checkbox and editing and updating the information stored in the QR code.
Step 4 (Optional): You can customize your QR code by clicking 'Design Color and Decorate QR Code.'
Step 5: Save and download the QR code.
Once the QR code is generated, get a printout and place it on a sticker, label, or tag.
