“Are you looking for the perfect gift?”

Use verbs like “Discover,” “Get,” “Download,” “Learn” to drive action self employed data right from the subject line.

Examples :

“Download your free guide today”
“Start working towards your dream job”
7. Add a touch of humor or whimsy
Humor and playfulness can make your emails stand out in a crowded inbox. Funny subject lines increase engagement by 15%, making them a great tool for creative brands.

Be careful with humor: make sure it’s in line with your brand’s tone of voice. Humor should be relevant and enhance your message, not detract from it.

Examples :

“We miss you (but not our sales)”
“Oops… Did you forget something?”

8. Avoid spam triggers
Spam filters may send your email straight to the trash if your subject line contains certain "spam" words. Avoid using excessive punctuation, capital letters, or overly promotional language.

Tips :

Don't use words like "FREE", "Guaranteed" or "Act Now"
Avoid using multiple exclamation points or capital letters like “FREE OFFER!!!”
Example of comparison :

Spam: “Your FREE gift is waiting for you!!!”
Engaging: “Here’s a special gift for you”
