66% of marketers expect revenue growth

Salesforce, the leading multinational technology company in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) , announces the seventh edition of its State of Marketing report , based on a survey of thousands of marketing leaders around the world .

The report finds that marketers in Portugal remain optimistic about the future of their organizations, despite the unprecedented changes and challenges of the recent past. The report also reveals significant brazil email list investment in tools, technology and channels that have become indispensable in the age of market-from-anywhere.

The main conclusion is simple: 66% of Portuguese marketing professionals expect growth in their organization's revenues in the next 12 to 18 months.

Challenges are emerging, however, with 67% of Portuguese marketers agreeing that customer expectations are harder to meet than they were a year ago. To adapt, marketers are leaning into the digital transformations they began before the pandemic.

In fact, the changes are not only at the level of workers in this sector, but above all at the level of society itself and consumers, as evidenced by the growth of social networks, e-commerce and the adoption of online betting platforms such as 22Bet Portugal .

In fact, 49% of marketers in Portugal say the pandemic has changed their digital engagement strategy , and 43% say it has changed their mix of marketing channels .

Creating a cohesive customer journey across channels and devices is a top priority for marketers in Portugal , with engaging with customers in real time proving to be the biggest challenge.

“ In just over a year, marketers in Portugal have navigated changes in customer behavior that typically occur over several years ,” said Fernando Braz , Country Leader for Salesforce Portugal . “ The insights from this year’s State of Marketing Report provide a good reference for what’s changed, what’s consistent, and where the art and science of marketing is headed from here .”

What do marketers think?
The trends revealed in the State of Marketing report were gathered through a survey of more than 8,200 marketing leaders across 37 countries and six continents, including 91 from Portugal . Insights include the following:

As customers go digital, marketing is on the rise. Marketers are accelerating their digital transformations, with website/app, social media and video now the three most used marketing channels in Portugal .

Collaboration is driving the age of market-from-anywhere. No longer tied to offices, a distributed workforce is reevaluating how they engage not only with customers, but with each other. 78% of marketing organizations in Portugal are adopting new policies regarding remote work.

Marketing is written with DATA. Data management is becoming more complex as data sources multiply. Marketers around the world expect the number of data sources they use to grow by 40% between 2021 and 2022. In Portugal , 63% of professionals say their interactions with customers are data-driven, and only 31% say they are satisfied with the use of data to create more relevant experiences.

Metrics and KPIs continue to evolve. In Portugal , 70% of marketing professionals have reassessed their KPIs and success metrics due to the pandemic, with 89% evaluating the impact of marketing actions on sales, 75% on revenue and 74% on engagement with the content created.
