The collaborative economy on the Internet is increasing

Among the uses of the Internet, the rise of collaborative economy services is striking. In 2017, 21.4% of Internet users used websites or mobile applications to arrange accommodation (a room, apartment, house, etc.) with another individual, i.e., more than six million people. Of these, 81.3% used websites or apps specialized in the subject.

Along with accommodation, the sharing economy also impacts mobility , particularly when it comes to arranging transportation with another individual. Young people between the ages of 16 and 24 are the most likely to use ride-sharing websites and apps.

Full expansion of virtual and augmented reality
This market is expected to reach global revenues of $13.9 billion in 2017 , representing a 130.5% increase over the previous period.

Spending on these types of devices is also expected to accelerate in the coming years, with a compound annual growth rate of 198% for the period between 2015 and 2020, reaching revenues of $143.3 billion. Among the most popular devices are virtual reality headsets.

The growth of e-commerce has no ceiling
Total e-commerce turnover in Spain reached phone number library €24.185 billion in 2016 , compared to €20.013 billion in 2015, an increase of 20.8%.

In terms of transactions, 395.9 million transactions were recorded, 33.1% more than the previous year.

By sector, tourism-related sectors generated the most revenue . Travel agencies and tour operators accounted for 14.2% of the revenue, while air transport accounted for 11.7%. This was followed by clothing (6%), artistic, sporting, and recreational events (4.6%), and direct marketing (5.4%).
