Chris Heaton Harris, transport minister: Mad keen cricketer who recently organized the inter-parliamentary cricket world cup. He left May’s government in April in protest at the former PM opening talks with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. He spends a lot of time tweeting really bad jokes from his chhcalling Twitter account.
Christopher Pincher, Foreign Office minister: A former deputy chief whip who voted to leave the European Union in 2016. He is a member of Tamworth’s Hodge Lane Nature Reserve, the Peel Society and a Patron of the Canwell Show. He enjoys golf, horse racing, grand prix (watching not driving!), and books by Evelyn Waugh, Arnold Bennett, R. L. Stevenson, John Buchan and Simon Raven.
: telegram data Returning to Defra after resigning over Theresa May’s decision to allow a vote on delaying Article 50. Cornish born and bred, before becoming an MP, the lifelong Euroskeptic was campaign director of the anti-euro “No Campaign.” Was the Conservative Party’s head of press under Michael Howard and David Cameron’s press secretary.
Thérèse Coffey, promoted to minister of state at Defra: A Johnson backer in the recent leadership race, Coffey stays in the same department, but in a more senior role. Avid Liverpool F.C. supporter and fan of the rock band Muse.
