Some examples of vishing

Vishing scenario #1
You get home from work and check your voicemail to see if anyone has called. Your voicemail has the following message:
“ Hello, this is Eva from ABC Telecommunications Company. I am calling list of benin whatsapp phone numbers to confirm the cancellation of your account. Both the telephone and internet connection at your address will be permanently cancelled tomorrow, May 6th at 8:00 a.m. Our records indicate that you have an outstanding balance. Please contact our customer service department at 00-… to pay the outstanding balance .”
This is done to create a sense of urgency and force you to pick up the phone and call the number listed. Obviously, you don't want to lose connectivity to your physical phone and your internet, and you need to get things sorted before your service is cut off. You call immediately, and ABC Telecom Company answers, providing you with an automated way to avoid account closure. You are asked to enter your social security number or ID number, and the credit card associated with your account, to verify that you are in fact the owner of your account. After you enter both numbers, the line goes dead.
Vishing scenario #2
You are sitting comfortably watching TV in your living room at 8:00 pm, and the phone rings. When you look at who is calling, it turns out to be your bank. You answer the phone.
“ Hi, this is XYZ Bank. There have been three failed attempts to log into your account within the last hour. To protect both your account and your private information, ABC Bank has locked your account. We are committed to the security of your online transactions. Please call our security department at 1-800-bla-bla-bla. ”
