What is content marketing? It is one of the most effective actions to attract visitors to our website and to retain them. It is a technique that inbound marketing agencies have appreciated for many years, since brands no longer know what to do to attract customers. It consists of understanding what they need and generally giving it to them for free; although this is generally never the case, it is really a hook for your brand, a kind of free adword with content.

It is about communicating with our clients by selling our product indirectly through our content, which we send them through social networks or email marketing. You have to be very careful with this, if you are too aggressive in selling your services through content, they probably won't trust you and won't come back. This happens in hundreds of community manager blogs and other amateur species, which try to sell you their latest ebook behind brief articles without the slightest interest.

The typical content plan strategy is as follows:

Target audience
What content may interest you?
When are you going to send them?
What means are you going to use?
Goals you want to achieve
Measuring them
This is the typical strategy, but it is up to us, we are not controlling directors email list interested in it in the least . This appeals to everyone, it does not discriminate between our target audience and our potential customers, our direction is different.

We are going to carry out our content marketing strategy by combining the statistics from our email marketing application, Google Analytics and our social networks:

What do we need? Visitors who are interested in our products and who search for them on the Internet, plus our subscriber base, our social networks or our newsletter.

How do we find them? With Google Analytics, or similar applications, looking at how users arrive at our website, what string of words they search for, what strings take them to our page. On our social networks, analyzing what is most popular, read or shared by our followers. With the statistics of our email marketing application , analyzing which content receives the most clicks from our subscribers.

What do we do? Content to respond to those searches that lead them to our pages or to the interests shown by our followers on social networks or by subscribers to our newsletters. If you haven't tried taking this step yet, sign up for our free emailing platform for the first subscribers you have.

It's that simple, we first find what really interests our future clients , instead of imagining what types of content might interest our users.
