Distributed photovoltaics will account for almost half of the growth in the global solar photovoltaic energy market until 2024. But, contrary to popular belief, its greatest boost will not come from homes, but from industries and businesses, which will account for three quarters of new installations in the next five years.

Renewable energy from an inexhaustible source of resources president email lists such as the sun can be used very effectively in all types of industrial processes , did you know? The application of this technology, in addition to generating great benefits, can greatly facilitate the process that, for example, involves the production of a product.

Investing in photovoltaic panels to provide electricity and thermal energy to obtain heating and hot water in industries thanks to the sun, are two of the most widely used applications today, but not the only one!

This energy can be applied by taking advantage of the same solar technology that is used at a domestic level, since the potential is enormous, since around 30% of the heat needed for industrial processes requires temperatures below 100ºC , a figure that falls within the range in which domestic solar energy is found.

If necessary, high-performance solar collectors are capable of producing heat at temperatures reaching 150ºC! Necessary in many industrial processes: steam generation, washing, drying, sterilization, pasteurization, chemical treatments, etc.

Another application of photovoltaic energy in industry is the production of cold by means of absorption machines and other thermal equipment, with the added advantage of the coincidence of the maximum demand with the maximum daily sunlight.
The paper, food, textile and chemical industries are those that work with higher temperatures, between 100 and 200ºC, and in this case it is worth noting the existence of a device originally created for solar cookers: Schffler.

Schffler is a high-tech solar thermal concentrator that, combined with simple construction, is expanding as a steam generation technology for industrial processes.
