While market share can tell you which competitor has the most significant influence on your audience, it doesn't tell you what type of audience that is.

Understanding your audience demographics can help you connect with your customers and create products and services that effectively meet their needs.

For this step, you can conduct your own market db telegram research through questionnaires and customer surveys . Or you can quickly discover basic information about your market audience with Market Explorer’s Demographics report .

The Demographics report provides a high-level overview of the demographics of your niche audience. It includes:

percentages by age and gender;
social media preferences;
hobbies and interests.
You can use this data to build your audience personas .

Next, find out how your audience stacks up against your closest competitors. You can do this in the Traffic Analytics Audience Insights report.

The Audience Overlap graph shows you how your audience compares to your competitors. Here you can see the relative size of your audience and how it stacks up against each of your competitors.

You will also find a list of popular websites for each segment of your shared audience. Make a note of any relevant websites that you are not competing with because they might be a great place to advertise or a good candidate for a partnership.

Then go to the Traffic Sources report in the Traffic Path tab. Here you can see:

what channels each competitor is using to generate traffic;
the main traffic sources that drive audiences to each competitor;
which websites your audience is most likely to visit after leaving a competitor's domain.
