Based on this example, you can think about creating tutorials and other useful content for your users, so as to educate them on how to use your products in a creative way.

Itaù
that the app is only for businesses looking to profit from it. Itaù , a private Brazilian banking institution, used the WhatsApp Business API to distribute over 2 million digital books to Brazilians in parts of the country where literature is not easily accessible, reaching over 800,000 people.

The bank created Facebook ads to promote its charitable country wise email marketing list initiative, sending people to WhatsApp directly from the ad. The books were sent in PDF format to interested users, after a chat on WhatsApp to understand their needs and requirements. This allowed the bank to distribute in digital format twice as many physical copies as it would have been able to send.

A very interesting example, which is well suited to all those who are interested in activating marketing strategies for non-profits , who can exploit the popularity of WhatsApp in highly disadvantaged areas to do good (just think, for example, that India is the first market for the app).

Unilever
Unilever is a multinational consumer goods company that currently has around 400 brands under its belt. In 2019, the company launched a new fabric softener in Brazil and did so by leveraging the potential of WhatsApp. The brand placed more than 10,000 billboards around São Paulo, with the message “I'll bring you back your beloved clothes” and a WhatsApp number to contact. When people, mostly driven by curiosity, sent a message, they found MadameBot on the other end, which provided tips on how to take care of their clothes. In addition, MadameBot took care of presenting the new product through videos and images. At the end of the chat, potential buyers received a 50% discount with free shipping to spend online on the purchase of the fabric softener.

The company received 290,000 messages from over 12,000 unique users , resulting in a significant increase in sales (14 times greater).

WhatsApp Marketing Isn't Just For Big Businesses
Even though the successful case studies we have presented to you are related to large companies, this does not mean that they cannot work on a smaller scale. To see with your own eyes the potential of this marketing strategy, all you need to do is request your users' phone number when they register on your website and set up a dedicated strategy. You can communicate with them through purchasing advice, but also by sending offers and discount codes in order to build customer loyalty and thus improve your sales.
