A supermarket puts AI to work cooking and it comes up with stews of human meat and other "delicacies"

Sometimes we have ingredients (more or less abundant in the fridge) and we can't think of what to do with them, especially when we're not very skilled in the kitchen. For this reason, the New Zealand supermarket chain Pak'nSave decided to rely on AI to create a bot that would generate recipes from the ingredients supplied by its customers. The problem? The bot came up with bizarre recipes without taking into consideration whether they were really appetizing or could even cost the lives of those who put them in their mouths.

Pak'nSave's bot, dubbed the "Savey Meal-Bot" , was born list of pakistan cell phone numbers last July and has been putting the supermarket chain in a difficult position ever since with its unique recipes.

The Pak'nSave idea was not particularly original, but it was at least well-intentioned. On the website saveymeal-bot.co.nz, customers can enter three or more ingredients and the bot suggests recipes based on these ingredients, with the ultimate goal of preventing leftovers from ending up in the trash.

What Pak'nSave was proposing with its bot had actually been done for years, without the complicity of AI. "Savey Meal-Bot" is anchored in OpenAI's GPT-3.5 language, the same one that ChatGPT hosts in its core .
