Is it time to leave work ? Or maybe it's tea time ? It doesn't matter if you're in Spain or the UK, or anywhere else in the world; according to a new study (which has a fairly wide and global study universe), the ideal time to send an email campaign is at 4PM.
The best time to send a mailing campaign
This was brought to light by GetResponse, a major email provider. In the report (which condenses an analysis of 2 billion emails sent from March to May 2017, in 126 liberia business email list countries and 19 industries), it is detailed that an email campaign sent at 4PM has an average opening rate of 25.13% and a CTR of 3.82% – that is, quite high numbers:

In itself, there are many deductions to be made, and each case would have to be analyzed individually, continent by continent, or country by country. However, there is a common front of conclusions according to the study, and I think I share it as well : users normally read their emails just before and after arriving at their work and offices, which corresponds to the highest intervals (from 9 to 11 AM and from 3 to 5 PM, with the peak at 4 PM in the latter).
As I mentioned, this can vary greatly depending on the audience . I think the most important thing here is to reiterate how important it is to know your audience and, based on the statistics from your own databases, get to know the behavior of your subscribers to really start generating a brand-user relationship.
A special rule: if you can, avoid Mondays
I want to make a parenthesis before finishing… consider that there is a special rule for Monday with regard to sending an email campaign. Many classify it as the worst day of the week, and although you should not stigmatize the not so beloved Monday too much , there is an indication that it is one of the worst days for sending an email or newsletter.
We talk about the effectiveness of Email Marketing campaigns
Basically, I'm telling you from experience: in 2017, Bloomberg conducted a study on 250,000 messages sent over the network , and found that Monday is the day with the highest number of errors in messages, from spelling mistakes to redundant subject lines.
