A survey conducted with 160,000 users of the Mobills app, a personal finance management startup, found that food sales via delivery grew by more than 94% between January and May this year, compared to the same period in 2019.
The demand for delivery services such as iFood, Uber Eats and Rappi has grown significantly as a result of the quarantine that lasted for months to contain the pandemic.
Given the strong demand for packaging for delivery, GIV online graphics, also known in Brazil for printing business cards, leaflets, banners, stickers and other personalized materials, launched food packaging aimed at snack bars, fast-food outlets and restaurants.
In an interview with Felipe Augusto, operations belize telemarketing list manager at the online printing company GIV, he explains that in order to make the packaging available on its platform, the team first had to analyze how the entire process would be carried out, given that the packaging comes into contact with food and the printing company must provide the best conditions of use to its customers.
“We performed several tests before offering these packages on our website. We are careful to provide the highest level of quality. We follow the criteria of Anvisa in the State Health Surveillance Registry – CEVS: 351570703, according to Ordinance No. 177, of March 4, 1999 and Resolution RDC No. 129, of May 10, 2002. With this, we have a municipal and state operating license”, he states.
Felipe says that the production, finishing, packaging and logistics of the packaging are monitored to maintain the quality standard required by Anvisa, to avoid contamination.
Furthermore, the manager talks about the rigor in choosing the raw material for his new production line. The papers have certification that approves their use in the manufacture of packaging with total safety.
“The papers we use in the production of packaging are certified by ISEGA – the German Institute. And using papers with this certificate means that our customers can feel safe, since they are approved for contact with food,” he says.
