Today, there is no one who does not know Google; this company has innovated in all fields of technology, from smartphones to virtual reality glasses.

However, now Google wants to go a little further than simple advanced devices, and wants to build its own city. In fact, the project has already begun and is planned to be completed by next year 2022 .

Project specificationsPurpose
Many people have commented that this city has only one purpose for Google, which is to produce physical marketing that allows it to demonstrate to users the reliability of this company rcs data and the capacity for technological advancement that it has.

However, Google has said otherwise, according to the head of Sidewalk Labs (the branch responsible for generating Google City) the purpose of this is to centralize Google's 12,000 employees in a single habitat.

The latter is done in order to increase the company's productivity both in the industrial and economic aspects.

Location
The city, according to official sources, will be built near Lake Ontario , which is located north of Ontario (Canadian province) and in the southern part of the Niagara Peninsula (New York State, belonging to the United States.

Beginnings and investment
This project began in 2017 when Sidewalk Labs in conjunction with the Toronto Waterfront Company made the announcement at a dam conference naming the site Quayside .

In response, it was announced that Google would provide $50 million to carry out construction on the 3.2 kilometers planned for the settlement.

Construction
Shortly after the announcement of the construction, Sidewalk's CEO stated that the construction was not only intended to demonstrate Google's technological power, but also to raise awareness about the environment and its use for large cities.

This is because the facilities will be built with a material that, according to the branch, helps protect the environment: wood.
