Digital transformation has accelerated exponentially as a result of the pandemic. This transformation in the foundations of the global economic structure is having important geopolitical and social implications. So much so that the Digital Kit aid has extended the deadline for companies belonging to Segment I, in order to give opportunities to more companies.
12 full months for the first segment
The Digital Kit is just one of the digitalisation programmes included in Spain's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan . It is aimed at three very different segments whose procedures begin and end on different dates.
As a novelty, the deadline for the first of the segments has been extended . Although the closing date for applications was initially set for September 15, 2022 , it has recently been extended until March 15, 2023. Now, companies belonging to Segment I will have a full year to request the digital voucher and carry out all the bureaucratic procedures.
Time for changes
The way businesses operate has changed, as have labour relations self employed database and the security and stability of our societies and political systems.
A study carried out by red.es provides us with some data on digitalisation. Only half of Spanish SMEs have profiles on social platforms and only 52% of them have objectives in their use. In addition, technological knowledge in companies is limited, as only 53% of companies train their employees in ICT subjects.
As the Administration itself maintains , “this intense technological change represents a major challenge, but also an opportunity for our country.” This statement only serves to shed hope for the future of the country and inspire confidence that the decisions taken by the government will lead to the country's progress .
Patience. This is what the Government is asking for when making this transition, so that the measures adopted have a positive, secure impact and last over time .
