Over the last decade, the role of the Internet in Brazil and around the world has been confirmed: the web has become an important means of communication, social interaction and, above all, a valuable source of information. Therefore, it is very likely that a business inserted in this context, adjusted through well-thought-out strategies, will have everything to succeed. In this post, we will look at different particularities of the Internet and how everything can condition the way e-commerce is done in Brazil.

E- commerce in Brazil continues to grow and the forecasts of entrepreneurs who are already in the market are very optimistic. At least this is what a new study presented by the Mintel agency indicates , afghanistan telemarketing which guarantees that in Brazil too the Internet could serve as an important driver of commerce, overcoming some of the obstacles imposed by the economic crisis.

The study shows that between March and April 2015, Brazilians connected to the Internet used the Internet in the following ways: 85% used their email account at least once, 84% visited their social media accounts and 76% read the news. This is, however, a very general overview of how people use the Internet.

On the other hand, only 43% of Brazilians said they were fans of e-commerce . Although this is a lower number when compared to the data cited above, there is certainty that this is a growing trend and that e-commerce in Brazil has a lot to offer.

The obstacles to e-commerce remain the same as ever, as confirmed by the same Mintel study. Fear of being a victim of fraud is cited as the main reason for not shopping online.

When asked about internet security , 64% of respondents identified with the statement: “I am concerned about the security of my personal data when paying for products and services online”. 50% of respondents also admitted to being concerned about entrusting their personal information (address, credit card number, full name, among others) to websites.
