Post by rabia198 »

Berta Rodríguez holds a highly responsible position at EnergyLab, a foundation that develops and disseminates technologies, products, and consumer habits to optimize energy sustainability. With a background in industrial engineering , her career has led her to specialize in communications in general and digital marketing in particular.

To achieve this, and despite the demands of his current position, he's found time to complete our online Professional Master's Degree in Digital Communication Strategies & Online Marketing , and even earn a first-class honors . How did he achieve this? He tells us in the following interview.

Having focused your studies and internships on industrial engineering, when did you start to dedicate yourself to communications?
My first contact with uruguay mobile database Marketing and Communications was in my first job, at the Unión Fenosa Energy Efficiency Center in Madrid . From day one, I was tasked with the energy efficiency campaigns the Center was developing internally and externally, as well as generating content for contests, energy efficiency guides, and energy savings calculation tools... that's how it all began.

What was your experience at Unión Fenosa in Madrid like? What skills did you develop during this time?
During the year and a half I worked at Unión Fenosa, I developed multiple skills and ways of working that a small company couldn't offer me. I was fortunate to have a fantastic boss, to whom I am very grateful and with whom I still keep in touch, as she explained everything from how to prepare a meeting efficiently to negotiating with suppliers, optimal content review, and the development of new tools . This was my first experience in which I developed my social and professional skills , as I shared space with many professionals at the Madrid headquarters where I worked, who gave me knowledge and responsibility.

What does your job as head of communications, both internal and external, at EnergyLab entail?
My role at EnergyLab as Head of Communications is very broad, as we are 26 employees in total, and we all have to work hard to definitively consolidate the center. The tasks in our area range from daily management of social media and the website, event organization, creation of content and new materials for branding, dissemination activities for the center's R&D&I projects (conferences, project website and its specific social media, dissemination materials, coordination of project partner tasks, etc.) , development of articles for dissemination in the press and specialized magazines, monitoring and defining the Communications Plan, and developing and creating training courses, which fall under the Communications area, having to manage an e-learning platform for the development of technical online courses.
